Yes. The lot must be at grade level and clear of all trees, stumps, and debris before our crew arrives. Any overhead tree limbs must be at least 20 feet high over the injection area so our mast equipment can operate properly. If trees have been removed, the root ball areas must be compacted thoroughly so the tractor does not sink.
It depends on the type of dirt. If you are using select fill (non-expansive imported soil), do not place it before injection. We will just sink into it and it will need to be removed before we can proceed. If you are using the existing or "bad" dirt from the site, it must be placed and compacted well before injection can begin.
Select fill is loose and unstable until fully compacted. Our tractor equipment will sink into it, making injection impossible. If select fill is already on site, it will need to be removed before we can start. Any fill using native or existing soil is fine as long as it is properly compacted beforehand.
Yes. All four corners of the pad must be staked before we begin. If a site plan is available, please have it on hand as well. This helps us plan coverage accurately and ensures the full treatment area is injected correctly.
For a standard-sized residential lot, injection typically takes 4 to 5 days. Larger or more complex sites may take longer. Once you are ready to move forward, we can provide a tentative start date based on our schedule.
After reviewing the proposal, reply via email confirming that you have read and understood it and agree to the stated amount. Once we receive that confirmation, your project is assigned to the job board and we will confirm a start date with you.
Schedule your GEO testing appointment at the same time you confirm your injection start date. GEO companies can be several weeks out depending on their schedule, and coordinating both dates early prevents delays in your overall construction timeline.
Plan for approximately 2 to 3 weeks total from injection completion to receiving your post-test results. Injection takes 4 to 5 days, followed by a 48 to 72 hour rest period, then 1 to 2 weeks for the GEO company to process and return results. The actual GEO timeline depends on the company and how busy they are at the time.
That decision is between you and your builder, engineer, and foundation company. We recommend confirming with your engineer of record whether they require the post-test results before any construction begins. Many do require the GEO letter confirming swell reduction before they will guarantee the foundation.
If post-injection testing shows the treatment did not meet the required standard, we return and reinject the area at no additional charge. Our guarantee covers the reinjection work itself. It does not cover the cost of post-testing or re-testing, which are the responsibility of the property owner.
Yes. We offer silt fence installation at $1.55 per linear foot, fully installed. If your project requires it, let us know before your scheduled injection date so we can send the silt fence team out ahead of injection. Last-minute requests may not be accommodatable depending on crew availability.
We come back and reinject at no charge. No one can see below ground, and while our success rate is high, we acknowledge that no process is perfect. If testing shows the soil was not adequately treated, we typically have a rig back on site within 2 to 3 days for reinjection. The same post-treatment timeline then applies again from the point of reinjection.
Yes. We work with several geotechnical testing companies in the North Texas area. Ask us for referrals when you confirm your project and we will share contact information for companies who perform post-injection swell testing. Feel free to let them know we referred you.
If there are neighboring homes or structures near the injection area, silt fence is required. TX ProChem offers silt fence installation at $1.55 per linear foot, installed. If you need this service, let us know in advance so we can schedule the installation before your injection date. If you are installing silt fence yourself, it must be a wire-backed mesh fence with the bottom hooked into the ground 6 to 8 inches so it holds properly.
A wire-backed mesh silt fence with the bottom "J" hooked into the ground 6 to 8 inches deep. Standard lightweight silt fence without wire backing is not sufficient. Please confirm the spec before installation if you are handling it yourself.
Yes. The City of Heath requires silt fence around the property and drain protectors near any storm drains before they will issue a construction water meter. You must submit your paperwork to the city first, then they inspect the silt fence and drain protectors. After inspection, allow at least 48 hours for the meter to be placed.
We connect to a fire hydrant using a construction meter, sometimes called a transient or mobile meter. You will need to obtain this meter from your local water department before our start date. The connection must be a 3-inch cam-lock fitting.
That is your responsibility as the property owner. Contact your local water department and request a construction or transient water meter. Make sure it includes a 3-inch cam-lock fitting for our equipment connection. Timing varies by municipality, so set this up as early as possible.
If you are in the Rockwall water district and they are out of meters, they may allow us to use one of ours. This needs to be arranged with us in advance to make sure the meter is not already in use on another job. Always try through the water department first before requesting ours.
If your project is within the Cash Water district, you will need to set up an account with Cash Water and pay the deposit. We will coordinate the use of our meter on your behalf if needed, but you must initiate the account setup. Cash Water may reach out to us directly if they have questions once they know we are the injection contractor.
Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast
There are two alternatives. If there is a pond on or near the property with enough water to sustain the full injection, we can pull from it for an additional charge of $650. If neither option is available, we can arrange frac tanks through a third-party vendor. Tank rental typically starts at a minimum of $5,000, and each tank takes approximately 48 hours to fill using a residential meter. We can provide a quote for frac tanks specific to your project.
Check with your engineer to confirm whether they require it for your project. We strongly recommend doing it regardless. Because injection happens underground, testing is the only way to confirm the work was effective. In most cases, your geotechnical engineer and foundation company will require a letter from the GEO confirming swell reduction before they guarantee your foundation.
No. We do not perform post-injection testing, and we consider it a conflict of interest to test our own work. Post-testing is done by an independent geotechnical (GEO) company of your choice. We can provide referrals to several GEO testing companies in the North Texas area if needed.
No. Post-injection testing is a separate cost handled directly between you and the GEO testing company. It is not included in our proposal. TX ProChem does not pay for initial tests or re-tests.
The lot must sit for at least 48 to 72 hours after injection before any post-testing can be done. After that, the GEO company will collect samples and typically takes 1 to 2 weeks to return results, depending on their workload. We recommend scheduling your post-testing appointment at the same time you confirm your injection date so you are not waiting on their availability afterward.
