Why Measurement Matters Before Injection
Treating soil isn’t a guessing game. Before we inject, we need to know exactly how much area we’re covering — including a 5-foot perimeter beyond the slab. For that, we use a tool called On Center Software to map out the linear and square footage of every job.
Basements and Other Complex Builds
In this example, Kelly walks through a project that includes a basement. For these types of builds, we split the treatment into phases:
- Phase 1: Inject the basement footprint before the walls go up.
- Phase 2: Come back and inject the upper areas after the walls are poured.
This ensures the soil under every part of the structure gets the right exposure and stability.
Why It Matters to Builders
Every inch of soil movement matters. We aim to bring movement down to 1% or less — that’s about 1.25 inches — so builders can pass inspections and move forward with confidence.
Using software-based planning helps us:
- Improve accuracy
- Communicate clearly with builders
- Avoid rework or delays
- Support structures from the ground up
